In 1997 owner Jim Myers decided to sell his flight training school to start the process of obtaining a Part 135 Charter Operator’s Certificate. Together with the help of his wife Bonnie "Air Taxi" was born. When others bought their manuals, "Air Taxi" wrote their own. With a twin engine Seneca II, the charter operation was started. While others lack with operational policies and FAA regulations, "Air Taxi" thoroughly scrutinizes every one involved in the process. Our Maintenance is done in house and headed by our own Director of Maintenance. Jim still personally schools our Pilots and makes sure their training is done in accordance with FAA regulations by the professionals at Simuflite or Flight Safety training facilities. Jim and Bonnie's commitment to Safety and Service prevailed and are still the best in the business. We simply do not cut corners and that means everything when you are up in the air.
